Job Overview:
Standard Chartered Bank is seeking an experienced professional for the role of Associate Director – Export & Open Account within Trade Operations. This leadership role focuses on driving operational excellence, managing risk and compliance, enhancing digital adoption, and aligning trade operations with strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
✓ Drive operational efficiency, accuracy, and productivity across Trade Operations
✓ Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance turnaround time
✓ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, AML policies, and internal controls
✓ Collaborate with Transaction Banking, Trade Product, and Group Operations teams
✓ Support strategic initiatives, transformation projects, and new product implementations
✓ Promote digital platforms (e.g., S2B NG) and drive client adoption
✓ Monitor operational risks and escalate issues as required
✓ Support audits, regulatory reporting, and governance frameworks
✓ Manage budgeting, financial monitoring, and productivity optimization
✓ Lead, mentor, and develop team members to enhance performance
✓ Support workforce planning and succession development
✓ Ensure effective implementation of Business Continuity Management (BCM) plans

Educational Requirements:
✓ Bachelor’s degree from a reputed university
✓ Professional certifications (CDCS, CAMS) will be considered an advantage

Experience Requirements:
✓ Minimum 7 years of experience in Trade Operations

Core Competencies:
✓ Strong knowledge of Export, Open Account, and Bank Guarantee products
✓ Understanding of trade regulations, compliance, and accounting principles
✓ Experience with workflow systems and operational technologies
✓ Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
✓ Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
✓ Ability to manage complex operations and multitask effectively
✓ High level of ownership, accountability, and leadership capability
