Role Overview
This is a senior-level technical leadership role focused on integrating WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene), Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR).

You will lead the design, implementation, and quality assurance of climate-resilient infrastructure solutions, ensuring alignment with national policies and global standards while strengthening community resilience.

Key Responsibilities
✓ Lead design and implementation of climate-resilient WASH infrastructure
✓ Ensure compliance with national regulations (DPHE, SOD) and global standards (Sphere, Sendai Framework)
✓ Develop and oversee engineering solutions (drainage, elevated systems, FSM, plinth raising)
✓ Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and ensure safeguard compliance
✓ Manage multi-project portfolios, budgets, procurement, and contracts
✓ Coordinate with government bodies, INGOs, and stakeholders
✓ Strengthen institutional and partner capacity through training and mentoring
✓ Drive community-based resilience models and Cash-for-Work (CfW) initiatives

Educational Requirements
✓ Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)

Experience Requirements
✓ Minimum 7 years of experience in WASH and DRR/CCA programs
✓ At least 3 years of field-level experience (District/Upazila level)
✓ Proven experience in both development and humanitarian contexts

Core Skills & Expertise
✓ Strong knowledge of climate-resilient infrastructure design
✓ Expertise in FSM, small-scale infrastructure, and engineering adaptation
✓ Advanced understanding of EIA, EMP, and environmental compliance
✓ Familiarity with Bangladesh regulatory frameworks (DPHE, SOD, Delta Plan 2100)
✓ Strong stakeholder management and communication capability
✓ Project management, budgeting, and procurement expertise
✓ Technical documentation (BOQ, drawings, cost estimates)
