Position Overview:
The Manager – Environment & Social Safeguard will support environmental and social risk management processes, ensure compliance with statutory and partner requirements, and contribute to sustainable project implementation aligned with safeguard frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop understanding of IDCOL’s Environmental & Social Safeguard Framework (ESSF).
• Support environmental and social screening and project categorization.
• Review ESIA, ESDD and ESMP reports for compliance.
• Monitor ESMP implementation and Corrective Action Plans (CAP).
• Conduct periodic site visits and assess EHS risks.
• Prepare monitoring reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in discussions with business units and project proponents.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering/Science (CGPA 3.00).
• Master’s degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in ESIA, ESDD and ESMP implementation.
• Strong knowledge of Bangladesh environmental regulations (Environment Conservation Rules 2023).
• Familiarity with EHS standards of ADB, AIIB, AFD, JICA, KfW and World Bank.
• Strong communication skills in Bangla and English; GIS knowledge preferred.
