About the Organization:
The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is the world’s largest global climate finance mechanism supporting developing countries in reducing emissions and strengthening resilience. IDCOL, Bangladesh’s first Direct Access Entity to the GCF, channels international climate finance into renewable energy, energy efficiency, and climate resilience projects nationwide.

Position Overview:
The Vice President & Unit Head – GCF will lead strategic engagement with the Green Climate Fund and oversee development, expansion, and execution of climate finance initiatives aligned with national priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead strategic engagement with GCF and expand climate finance portfolio.
• Identify and originate bankable climate projects aligned with GCF criteria.
• Oversee preparation of concept notes, funding proposals, and safeguards documentation.
• Mobilize climate finance through collaboration with government and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance, monitoring, and reporting per GCF standards.
• Lead and mentor the GCF Unit team while strengthening institutional systems.

Qualifications & Experience:
• BBA/MBA (Finance) or B.Sc./M.Sc. in Economics, Development, Environmental Science/Engineering.
• Minimum CGPA 3.00.
• At least 11 years relevant experience in banking, financial institutions, development or climate finance.
• Strong expertise in economic and financial due diligence.
• Excellent written and communication skills in Bangla and English.
