Position: RTL Design Graduate Intern

Role Overview:
✓ Tesla’s AI Hardware team is seeking an RTL Design Graduate Intern to contribute to the development of next-generation AI accelerators.
✓ The role involves working on custom silicon and advanced architectures that power neural networks for Full Self-Driving (FSD) and robotics systems.
✓ The position offers exposure to high-performance hardware design, microarchitecture development, and cross-functional collaboration in a cutting-edge AI environment.

Key Responsibilities:
✓ Develop microarchitecture specifications and RTL design implementations.
✓ Design performance-, area-, and power-efficient RTL for complex subsystems and SoCs.
✓ Define system-level functional requirements and design trade-offs.
✓ Collaborate with architecture and software teams to achieve design targets.
✓ Balance performance, power, safety, and cost constraints.
✓ Work with cross-functional teams including verification, implementation, and performance engineering.
✓ Ensure designs are optimized for synthesis and scalability.

Candidate Requirements:
Education:
✓ Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
✓ Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Technical Competencies:
✓ Strong understanding of Verilog RTL design and digital logic principles.
✓ Knowledge of high-performance design techniques (low latency, high bandwidth).
✓ Experience with simulators and waveform debugging tools.
✓ Understanding of timing, power, and area trade-offs in hardware design.
✓ Familiarity with low-power microarchitecture techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:
✓ Prior internship or project experience in RTL or hardware design.
✓ Knowledge of IEEE standards and hardware interfaces.
✓ Exposure to SoC design or high-speed SERDES is an advantage.
