Role Overview:
The Head of External Engagement – CORA will lead the company’s external affairs, public policy, and stakeholder engagement strategy. This is a senior leadership role responsible for influencing regulatory outcomes, managing reputational risk, and aligning external positioning with business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
✓ Lead external engagement and advocacy strategy aligned with business and CORA priorities
✓ Build and maintain strong relationships with senior government, regulatory, and political stakeholders
✓ Shape and influence public policy on excise, regulation, illicit trade, ESG, and commercial frameworks
✓ Drive high-impact advocacy campaigns across government, industry, and civil society
✓ Monitor political and regulatory developments to anticipate risks and opportunities
✓ Advise senior leadership on external risks, policy changes, and strategic positioning
✓ Ensure alignment of external messaging across internal functions
✓ Protect and enhance corporate reputation through proactive stakeholder engagement

Requirements:
Experience:
✓ 10-15 years of experience in external affairs, government relations, public policy, or regulatory roles
✓ Proven track record of engaging with senior government and regulatory stakeholders

Core Expertise:
✓ Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, taxation/excise, and public policy
✓ Strategic thinking with high political and commercial awareness
✓ Advanced stakeholder management and communication capability
✓ Ability to operate effectively in complex and rapidly changing environments
✓ Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
