Role Overview:
The Manager, Trade Operations will lead processing operations to ensure seamless transaction flow in compliance with regulatory, business, and client requirements. The role focuses on operational excellence, risk control, governance, and productivity enhancement within Trade Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
✓ Lead Trade Processing Operations ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
✓ Drive productivity, cost optimization, and operational risk control
✓ Monitor and enhance workflow efficiency and service standards
Process & Transformation:
✓ Optimize workflow across teams to improve productivity and reduce unit cost
✓ Drive digitisation and adoption of digital self-service solutions
✓ Partner with Technology teams to implement process innovations
Risk & Compliance:
✓ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, AML policies, and internal controls
✓ Monitor transactions against operational procedures and approved limits
✓ Identify, escalate, and mitigate operational and compliance risks
Performance & Governance:
✓ Track performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives
✓ Support audits and maintain strong governance frameworks
✓ Ensure timely and accurate transaction processing
People & Leadership:
✓ Develop and mentor team members to enhance capability and productivity
✓ Foster a culture of accountability, client focus, and continuous improvement
✓ Manage team structure, capacity planning, and succession pipelines
Stakeholder Management:
✓ Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Trade Operations, Product, Technology, Finance, Legal, and Compliance
✓ Liaise with external stakeholders including clients, regulators, and auditors
Requirements:
Educational Qualification:
✓ Bachelor’s degree or above
Experience:
✓ Minimum 5 years of experience in Trade Operations
Preferred Certifications:
✓ CAMS / CDCS
Core Competencies:
✓ Strong knowledge of trade finance products and operations
✓ Analytical and problem-solving capability
✓ Effective written and verbal communication
✓ Strong computer literacy
✓ Ability to operate under pressure in a high-risk environment
